The Smiths-The Queen Is Dead

I’m a big fan of The Smiths. I had all four of their records plus their live album and compilation album. Thay were all among about 100 records I took to the flea market in Barto to sell in August of 2013 to raise money for a house to rent. They were all sold but the live album. I repurchased Meat Is Murder and Louder Than Bombs three years ago. I bought The Queen Is Dead last month with my credit at Vertigo Records. Right up there with Meat Is Murder as their best record this was released in 1986 and is much acclaimed by critics. Best songs are the title track, “Frankly Mr. Shankly”, “I Know It’s Over”, “Cemetry Gates”, “Bigmouth Strikes Again” and “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out”. After the break-up in 1987 Morrissey and Johnny Marr both have has successful solo careers.
