This was Santana’s big comeback record from 1999. His biggest seller and one of the biggest sellers of all time winning 9 Grammy awards. Most songs have guest singers with about half with Spanish lyrics. There are a couple instrumentals. I must admit that since buying this CD I have not listened to it. “Smooth” featuring Rob Thomas was a huge number 1 hit on Top 40 radio. “Put Your Lights On” with Everlast was a hit on FM Rock radio. Santana’s playing sounds great, as good as any of his 70’s work. “Do You Like The Way” featuring Lauren Hill is a Soul/Rap song that I liked. “Maria Maria” was another big billboard hit (although I had never heard it) with a Hip-Hop duo singing. “The Calling” has Carlos and Eric Clapton trading licks over a Funky beat. This 75 minute CD had a vinyl reissue in 2019. I would like to pick it up.
