The tenth album from this Canadian band. Bought last month. On red vinyl. Down to a five piece with original members A.C. Newman, John Collins and Neko Case. Katheryn Calder And Todd Fancy have been in the band since 2004. Drummer Joe Seiders was fired from the band after he was convicted of possessing child pornography. Maybe taking the name of the band too literally? Another really good record of their hook laden Pop and Rock with a little more electronics than on previous records. First time listening to this one, liked every song but “Pure Sticker Shock”, “Wish You Could See Me, I’m Killing It”, “Bonus Mai Tais” and “The Former Site Of” were the ones that stuck out to me. I have a newer record from former Pornographer Dan Bejar’s band Destroyer to listen to tomorrow.
