Levitation, formally called Austin Psych Fest, is a music festival held in various locations in and around Austin Texas. I have seven records from this series. All are on some kind of colored vinyl. One by Primal Scream I have already listened to in my original countdown. I will listen to the other six this week. Hometown favorites The Black Angels are the founders of the festival. This recording came out in 2021 and is the first I bought in the series. This is on sea green vinyl with red splatter. A short record (just over 30 minutes there are three songs on each side. The pressing is good but the recording sounds like you are hearing it from a distance with an echo or reverb sound. The first track “Manipulation” has some great Psychedelic and Drone sounds and is typical of the other five tracks.
