Brownout are a Latin Funk and Soul band from Texas. One night they played a Black Sabbath cover and people loved it. They recorded a record of Sabbath songs and did a tour as Brown Sabbath. I saw them at The Flood City music festival I go to. It was an awesome show with two great singers, guitar, Latin percussion and a four piece horn section. Lots of great jamming. This record is a Record Store Day 2023 reissue (originally from 2014) and is on tan translucent vinyl with brown splatter and plays at 45 rpm. This double LP at around 36 minutes has 7 of the songs they played. “Black Sabbath” and “Into The Void” are instrumentals. “N.I.B.”, “Hand Of Doom” and “Planet Caravan” with a great guitar solo are my favorites on here. They put out a Volume 2 in 2017, I would love to get that one but it seems hard to find.
