Actually a solo session from Pineapple Thief member Bruce Soord. This is the last of four sessions Soord recorded in his attic studio and live streamed online in August of 2010 during the Covid hysteria. With four acoustic guitars and two electric plus various gizmos, as he called them, he makes it sound like a full band is playing. He would record a few seconds of percussion, a shaker and drumming on the guitar body, then loop it through a pedal. He would also do it with the acoustic guitar allowing him to pick up an electric guitar and play it. These eight tracks include solo material as well as Pineapple thief songs. This was a discounted record I found at Young Ones and is on dark green vinyl. I have played side one before and immediately put “Demons” on my playlist. The song has a couple false starts because he couldn’t remember the second line of the song. “Someone Pull Me Out” is also very good. Side two was just as good. “Last Man Standing” and “Bond” from Magnolia, the only Pineapple Thief record I have, also sound very good. Really enjoyed this record. All four sessions are available on a 4 CD set. Volume four is the only one released on vinyl.
