A band from N.Y.C., this is the seventh album from 2017. I don’t remember when or where I bought this one. I had their earlier record Bitte Orca and liked it and still play side 1 from time to time. This seems to be pretty much a David Longstreth solo project with many guests helping out. I really miss the vocals and instrumentation of Amber Coffman and Angel Deradoorian who left in 2013. This is a heavy Funk recording sounding sometimes like Prince. Too much use of the vocal synthesizer. It sounds like a robot is singing. “Up In Hudson”, and “Winner Take Nothing” are interesting but I think I will be trading this one in.
