A record of singles, B-sides and other rarities from 2018. Bought this one four or five years ago. These two records are filled with Punk. Noise Rock and weirdness. Just a little too strange for normal listening. The first two tracks are rough live recordings of Sonic Youth’s “Death Valley ’69” and Zeppelin’s “Thank You” from 1987. Also on side one is “After The Gold Rush” from a Neil Young tribute album I had on cassette, and the title track. “Death Trippin’ At Sunrise” is four and a half minutes of three repeated beats with wind sounds in the background. I listened for any change but that was it. I guess if you were actually tripping you could get something out of it. That is followed by a live cover of “Summertime Blues”. Side two has more Punk and Noise with “Hells Angels Cracker Factory featuring a revving motorcycle throughout the track. A cover of Nick Lowe’s “Peace Love And Understanding” is on side two also. The two longer tracks on side three are plenty weird with dialog, phone conversations, and other strange sounds. “Golden Hearse” a rocker is the most normal song on here. Many of these songs were on a 2 CD compilation I had called Finally the Punk Rockers are Taking Acid.
