Yes-Yesshows

A live album released in late 1980. A two record set with gatefold cover artwork by Roger Dean. By the tie of this release the band had undergone a major change with Anderson and Wakeman leaving, and the Drama album being released earlier that year. The bulk of this was recorded in Detroit in August of 1976 just weeks after their JFK show with Frampton. “The Gates Of Delirium” and “Ritual”, with Patrick Moraz on keyboards, were also played then and are the highlight of this record. “Ritual” at over 26 minutes is split between sides 3 and 4. “The Gates Of Delirium” is on side 2. Side one has “Parallels” and “Going For The One” with “Time And A Word” from their second album in between with Wakeman back in the fold. “Don’t Kill The Whale” and “Wonderous Stories” from Tormato are on sides 3 and 4. A used one I bought 10 or 15 years ago. Some skips and surface noise but genarally not too bad.
