Queen-A Night At The Opera

Original

This is my original album bought in 1975. The cover is in bad shape, the spine is almost ripped and the record itself is also in pretty bad shape. No skips but much scratchyness especially on side two. Played at the apartments a lot and to parties I would take it to although this is my least favorite Queen album that I have(except possibly The Game. This is the record that made Queen superstars thanks to the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” I have heard that song so many times on the radio,in movies,in comercials that it’s like background music to me. When I hear it I don’t pay any attention to it anymore. “Sweet Lady” is the only true rocker on the album but “Death On Two Legs” and “I’m In Love With My Car” do have some electric guitar. “39”, and”Good Company”,sound very Beatle-like while “Seaside Rendezvous” sounds like some Dance Hall tune from the 30’s. “The Prophet’s Song” is my favorite on the record. At nearly eight and a half minutes it’s almost Progressive in nature. Starting out quiet, the song builds to a middle section of guitar and Freddie Mercury’s voice in an a capella section using a tape delay device.
