Panda Bear(Noah Lennox) is in the band Animal collective. This is his third solo album from 2007. My copy is a special edition re-issue from the Vinyl Me Please record of the month club that my son gave me for Christmas one year which lasted for six months. This was the record of the month and one I had to take. You could replace the featured record of the month twice with a short list of alternatives but I had already done that. It’s a two record gatefold album on colored vinyl one white the other light blue.Plays at 45 rpm. Also comes with extra artwork and the recipe for a mixed drink,something that comes with every release from the club. The music is sample heavy electronics with dance beats,layered vocals that are often distorted and in the background. Lots of tape loops,nature sounds,machine sounds,and sampled instruments, it can get vey repetitive at times. The first time listening to all four sides(about 45 minutes),not really my cup of tea, but I would call it an interesting record and may put it on again at some point.
