This 1975 album from Steve Hillage is his second after leaving Gong. Produced by Todd Rundgren and featuring members of his band Utopia and fellow Gong member Miquette Giraudy who was Steve’s girlfriend. The album starts with a strange cover of “Hurdy Gurdy Man” followed by the spacey “Hurdy Gurdy Glissando” and “Electrick Gypsies” both sounding very Gong like. “Om Nama Shivaya”starting side two, is some kind of Hindu hymn while the 12 minute “Lunar Musick Suite has some trumpet by Don Cherry. The record closes with a spot on cover of George Harrison’s “It’s All Too Much”. Hillage is an accomplished guitar player but more in a Jazz style than Rock. A used album I bought about three years ago it’s a little scratchy but no skips.
