The first record from this Boston Area band. Thalia Zedek had been in many bands the last being Live Skull before teaming up with Chris Brokaw of Codeine to form Come. This is one I bought on cassette in 1992. I really liked it and was thrilled to find a vinyl reissue released on Record Store Day 2024. The title comes from the phenomenon of looking at a digital clock and seemingly seeing 11:11 every time. I have noticed this years ago in bed with my girlfriend looking at the clock seeing it was 11:11 almost every time and time to take her home. All these songs are great Blues Rock with Thalia’s angsts ridden singing sometimes sounding like Patti Smith. The twin guitars of Zedek and Brokaw emit a sludgy pounding that goes straight to the brain. “Submerge” is a killer opening track and one I put on my 1992 Rock And Roll Tunes cassette. Some other great songs are “Found New Vein”, “Sad Eyes” and the Punk “Power Failure”. This edition comes with liner notes from the 2012 twentieth anniversary edition and the 45 rpm single “Fast Piss Blues” b\/w a cover of “I Got The Blues” from the Stone’s Sticky Fingers. A really good band, I had their second album on cassette and I still have their final two on CD. Haven’t seen any of them on vinyl but will buy one if I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
