This is a 2011 reissue originally released in 2001 on CD. Songs recorded for the Lightbulb Sam and Stupid Dream records but left off. Also a lot of CD single B-sides. The music on the record is very good but the record itself is crap. Lots of crackles and pops throughout all 4 sides. Noticeable even in the louder parts. One of the worse sounding records I have ever bought. I have some 50 year old records played many, many times that sound a bit like that but not a brand new record. Aside from that the 9 songs on here are very good.   &#8220;Buying New Soul&#8221; on side one is typical PT spacey Progressive Rock. &#8220;Even Less&#8221; is the 14 minute long version of a song on Stupid Dream. &#8220;Access Denied&#8221; is an odd song, sounding like old Pink Floyd or a Psychedelic Beatles song. &#8220;Untitled&#8221; is a cool instrumental with Wilson&#8217;s guitar and Richard Barbieri&#8217;s keyboards dominating with some organ at the beginning and end that reminds me of Zeppelin&#8217;s &#8220;No Quarter&#8221;. &#8220;Cure For Optimism&#8221; is and Ambient sounding track with vocals as is &#8220;Oceans Have No Memory&#8221; an instrumental. &#8220;Ambulance Chasing&#8221; is a percussion heavy instrumental. &#8220;Disappear&#8221; is a good acoustic song. A great album but hard to listen to. Luckily, I do have a digital version that sounds good.
