This is from 1996. I had their first two on cassette. Those two had a Shoegaze sound with the harmony vocals of Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson. Lovelife has a more Britpop and Dream Pop sound which I don&#8217;t like as much. &#8220;Ladykillers&#8221; is a catchy song and was played on WXPN. The other songs sound similar. &#8220;Olympia&#8221; is the only one that sounds like their earlier Shoegaze style. The band broke up in late &#8217;96 after drummer Chris Acland hung himself. Emma Anderson later was in Sing-Sing with Lisa O&#8217;Neil and put out two releases the first of which I have on CD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The third album from this British band.
