Neko is backed by the Canadian Alt-Country band The Sadies and several guest stars.She performs four originals and five covers including songs by Loretta Lynn,Freakwater,and The Shangri-Las. There is a nice acoustic version of the Traditional &#8220;Wayfaring Stranger&#8221; and an unnamed bluesy track at the end of side one. Although she grew up on the west coast there is a picture of her wearing a Penn State T-shirt  at one of the shows. I thought that was pretty cool. This recording was released on vinyl in 2014. It&#8217;s nice that many albums from the late 90&#8217;s to the 2000&#8217;s that were only made on CD are now being released on vinyl.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a live album from 2004 recorded at shows in Chicago and Toronto.
