This record has been called one of the best live albums of all time and it’s hard for me not to agree with that. Recorded in 1970 the Who were at their peak. With just six songs I wish there was more released and indeed a three record set was issued in 2010 with the whole show which I might have had on a CD. I can’t be positive but it would have been sold in 2013. Of the four tracks on side one three are covers from the 50’s and early 60’s. “Young Man Blues”, “Summertime Blues” and “Shakin’ All Over” are amazing with Townshend’s guitar and Daltry’s singing never sounding better. An album track “Substitute” sounds pretty muckh like the studio version. Side two has two tracks a 15 minute “My Generation” with some nice jamming incorporating parts of “Sparks” from Tommy and “Naked Eye” not released until 1974’s Odds And Sods. An Extended “Magic Bus” closes the record with Daltry playing the harmonica. This is a 1977 reissue with a price sticker of $2 on it, not the kind of sticker you would see at a record store, probably bought it at a garage sale or record collectors convention. Can’t remember when but probably at least 30 years ago. The cover and record are in very good shape. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
