I was working as a cook at a French restaurant at the time in Wilmington. The prep area was on the lower level and there was a radio there tuned to one of Philly&#8217;s rock radio stations. The DJ&#8217;s were all talking about the new Springsteen album and playing songs from it as I was making crepes. Another really good record, &#8220;Badlands&#8221;, &#8220;The Promise Land&#8221; and &#8220;Prove It All Night&#8221; were all released as singles. &#8220;Racing In The Street&#8221; is a personal favorite and one of his saddest songs. &#8220;Adam Raised A Cain&#8221; has a heavy guitar riff and &#8220;Candy&#8217;s Room&#8221; is a fast- paced song. The title track is another slower somber tune.
