Although not a songwriter she is a great singer and interpreter of other peoples songs. Generally what I would call a Country album she covers songs by Hank Williams,J.D. Souther,Jackson Browne,Anna McGarrigle,and Lowell George,among others. Linda opened up for Jackson Browne at my High School in February of &#8217;74. She played songs from this album which had not been released yet including &#8220;You&#8217;re No Good&#8221; and the Little Feat song &#8220;Willin'&#8221;. According to the High School newspaper which I helped to print, since I was taking print shop at the time, the principal was upset with Linda for singing the song that has the line &#8220;If You Give Me Weed,Whites,and Wine&#8221; at a High School. Don&#8217;t know who was in her band but David Lindley was introduced by Jackson Browne in his set.
