With The George Duke trio backing him up this is an early Jazz Fusion record. First time listening to this I think the best was &#8220;Foosh&#8221; a George Duke composition. I also liked &#8220;Pamukkale&#8221; a more mellow piece. They also cover &#8220;Cantalope Island&#8221; the Herbie Hancock composition. I&#8217;m so used to hearing a saxaphone in these Jazz combos that Ponty&#8217;s violin sounds like a sax to me.
