In 2016 they released their first full length LP since 1991. Head carrier is more a traditional Indie or Alternative record than their earlier Punk influenced dynamic changing music of their first period with much less of Black Francis&#8217;s wailing. First time listening to both sides it doesn&#8217;t sound too bad. Songs like &#8220;Baals Back&#8221; and &#8220;Um Chagga Lagga&#8221; harken back to their old sound but the remainder are pretty accessable. &#8220;Al I Think About Now &#8221; is a tribute to Kim Deal sung by Paz a song she co-wrote with Francis.Joey Santiago lays down some nice short guitsar solos on a couple of the songs.
