Side one is what I always listened to. &#8220;Tiny Dancer&#8221; and &#8220;Levon&#8221; were singles played on AM radio all the time back in the early 70&#8217;s. FM radio played &#8220;Madman Across The Water&#8221; one of my favorites by him. There is an earlier version with Mick Ronson on guitar without the orchestration that I like better that was on the Rare Masters CD I had at one time. Listening to side two I hardly recognized any of the songs except for &#8220;Rotten Peaches&#8221;. Like his last album he used mostly session players. Paul Buckmaster&#8217;s orchestration is a big part of the sound on this record.
