In 1968 he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and given electroshock therapy. Put inn a state hospital, he was released in 1972. In the late 70&#8217;s he put together a new band,The Aliens,and with Stu Cook,of C.C.R.,producing, and made this record, released in 1981.Definitely a rocking record,there are no ballads on here. With songs like &#8220;I Think Of Demons&#8221;,Bloody Hammer&#8221;,&#8221;Stand For The Fire Demon&#8221;, &#8220;Night Of The Vampire&#8221;,and &#8220;I Walked With A Zombie&#8221; it&#8217;s easy to see he is still a little disturbed,but the songs are all good and he has a good voice. Since then he has played with various Texas bands through the years reuniting the original 13th Floor Elevators in 2015.
