These songs were recorded in 2009 and they were enough for two records,the rest appearing on Go-Go- Boots. With Hood writing 9 of the 14 songs the record is pretty rocking. His songs have the usual themes of Southern crime,working man&#8217;s troubles. Some of the best are &#8220;The Fourth Night Of My Drinking&#8221;,&#8221;Daddy Learned To Fly&#8221;,&#8221;Girls Who Smoke&#8221;,and &#8220;This Fucking Job&#8221;,my favorite on the record. Of Cooley&#8217;s three songs &#8220;Eyes Like Glue&#8221; a sad acoustic song is the best. &#8220;Birthday Boy&#8221; is OK and &#8220;Get Downtown&#8221; has a rockabilly sound to it. Shonna Tucker contributes two songs of which &#8220;You Got Another&#8221; is the best. It starts out slow but picks up at the end. There is a nice long guitar fade out on &#8220;The Wig He Made Her Wear&#8221; another one of Hood&#8217;s true crime stories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another great record from 2010.
