A compilation album from 2022 on maroon vinyl. These five tracks were recorded between 2000 and 2010. The 9 minute “Basement Contender is a mellow instrumental with Thurston Moore and Lee Renaldo’s guitars trading licks with of course some distortion at the end. “In And Out” has some vocals by Kim Gordon. “Machine” is 3 minutes of feedback and guitar riffs. The 2 tracks on side 2 are both around 12 minutes long. “Social Static” is from the soundtrack of a movie of the same name. More noise, distortion and feedback. Save this one for special occasions like when you want to drive someone insane. “Out And In” is another track with some vocals by Moore and some more sonic experimentation. This is the third album I have bought from them that they heve released since their break-up in 2011. Hopefully there will be more.
