J.J. Cale-Naturally

One I bought for a dollar a few years ago. “Crazy Momma” was a minor hit in ’72 reaching number 22. A song I always liked, especially the guitar. The first album from Cale released when he was 32 years old. There are lots of good songs on this record, some better known as covered by other artists. “Call Me The Breeze” was covered by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “After Midnight” by Eric Clapton and “Magnolia” by Poco and Iron & Wine. Waylon Jennings covered the Country/Bluegrass song “Clyde”. “Call The Doctor” and “Don’t Go to Strangers” are also good. Really not a bad song on here. A short record, all but two of the 12 songs are under 3 minutes long. Unfortunately, this record is in very bad shape and will be trashed. It has been re-issued many times, this is a 1980 re-issue. I might pick up a better copy if I see one.
