Yet another $5 record from FYE. The first solo album from Malkmus who had been in Pavement and later his own band The Jicks. Another short record at only 33 minutes, it is on clear vinyl and came out in 2019. He plays everything on this record with lots of electronics. This is my first time listening to this and most of it sounds like New Wave from the late 70’s or electronic bands like Kraftwerk. Sides one and two on the label are in German (Malkmus lived in Berlin for a while) and I was a little confused which side was which but side Eins has electronic songs and side Zwei has the more Indie ,quirky sound of Pavement. I liked side Eins better. He released another solo album in 2020 but with other musicians contributing.
