Trey Anastasio Band-Burn It Down

I felt like listening to some Jam Band music tonight so I put this one on. Just as Jerry had The Jerry Garcia Band, Trey has The Trey Anastasio Band that toured while Phish was taking a break. This three record set, on orange semi-transparent vinyl, was recorded during a short tour in the winter of 2020 with a nine piece band with sax, trombone and trumpet players. Also some good back-up vocals by trumpet player Jennifer Hartswick . I had listened to the four songs on the first record and they were great. I immediately put “Camel Walk”, “Sand” and “About To Run” on my playlist. The other two records were just as good. Pretty much sounds like Phish with some horns added. The recording sounds great but the record itself has some bad spots with loud pops, but overall not bad. Some amazing jams in these 15 tracks especially in “Alive Again” and “Plasma”. Any of these songs could go on my playlist, definitely those two. I have the first six Live Phish LP single record releases, and I will be listening to some of them before the end of the year as well as many live Grateful Dead multiple record sets.
