Album number 11 from 2022. Mainstays Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy are supported by a drummer, bassist and a second guitarist, different from ones who played on their last record from 2016. Not very prolific, this is their sixth release in the last 35 years. I played the first side once upon purchasing it and thought it sounded good. Now after listening to both sides It sounds even better. Relly liked “Vendetta X”, “Give Me Mercey” and “Under The Midnight Sun”. Astbury’s somewhat Jim Morrison sounding vocals are still strong and Duffy’s guitar still rocks. Another one I want to listen to again. In 2023 they played a short U.K. tour as Death Cult 8323 playing music from their early 80’s bands Southern Death Cult and Death Cult that had a more Gothic sound. Ian Astbury says they are working on a new album possibly released in 2026.
