Speed The Plow-Marina

A good CD from this Ney Jersey based band. I believe this is their second release. Consisting of members of The Trypes and The Feelies they have two female singers and one male singer. Lots of good harmony and instrumentation. Lots of good songs, “Written Each Day” has been on my playlist. “Late Birds” with a flute solo intro from a piece by Eric Satie is another good one I will put on my playlist as well as “In The Atmosphere” with a kind of Dream Pop sound with the two women singing. The title track sounds like a traditional Folk song. I have their first on CD and I found a vinyl copy of it but it was in very bad shape and I trashed it. Looks like they have a couple more releases out. Hard to find information on them as Speed The Plow is the name of a well known play, a traditional song and also a great song by Horslips.
