Son Volt-Trace

The first recording from Jay Farrar’s new band after the breakup of Alt-Country band Uncle Tupelo. Released in 1995. Wilco’s first release, Jeff Tweedy’s new band, also came out that year. Son Volt’s music has stayed with the Alt-Country sound throughout their releases. This is a good CD with the single “Drown” one I liked best. The last song “Mystifies Me” is a Ron Wood song I first heard a couple years ago on the New Barbarians live at MSG record I bought. I have a couple of Son Volt’s later records.
