I would call this a Shoegaze or Dream Pop band. This four piece band from Atlanta is comprised of two men and two women. This ’96 CD looks to be a re-recording of their first release (also from ’96) and produced by John McEntire who also adds some instrumentation. It comes with 5 bonus tracks. This is one I remember buying at Borders. They sure had a lot of CDs back in the day. I know I listened to some of this at some point but couldn’t recall any of the songs except that I knew it was good. After listening to it today I loved every minute of it. Sounding sometimes like Stereolab other times like Lush or Low, the boy, girl vocals (sometimes alone other times in harmony or alternating lines) are lush and ethereal. Loved “Meteor Shower”, “Lucky Penny”, “Exploring The Planets”, “How To Live Like A King’s Kid”, “Crystal Clara” and “Wind And Would”. All six are going on my playlist. Released on vinyl in the U.K. on the Too Pure label. Would love to find that. Put out two more CDs after this and disbanded in 2000.
