Wilco-AM

The first album from Wilco. After the break-up of Uncle Tupelo, Jay Farrar formed Son Volt and Jeff Tweedy formed Wilco. This record features Tweedy and three other members of the last line-up of Uncle Tupelo. These 13 tracks (only one over 4 minutes) are more like the sound of Uncle Tupelo’s Alt-Country music. Later Wilco albums will go in other directions. Originally released in 1995 this is a special edition for the Vinyl Me Please record club and is on orange vinyl from 2015. This was an alternate selection I chose instead of the one offered that month. First time listening to this one, the songs were all pretty good. I recognized “Should’ve Been In Love”, must have heard it on the radio sometime.
