This is their best selling record and my favorite by the band. Original member Tony Stevens left and producer Nick Jameson was recruited to play bass on the album. This came out in late 1975 and I bought it then when I was in my first year at Delaware Technical & Community Collage. This was one of the big albums from the mid 70’s and along with Fleetwood Mac’s self titled album was one played at almost every party I went to. Side one is killer with “Fool For The City”,”My Babe”,a Righteous Brothers song, and “Slow Ride” their signature song. Side two isn’t too bad either leading off with a blistering cover of Robert Johnson’s “Terraplane Blues” with Rod Price again playing some mean slide. The side closes with another of my favorite Foghat tunes “Take It Or Leave It” a more mellower song along the lines of “Dreamer” from their last record. This record has been used and abused with many skips especially on “Fool For The City”. The cover is in fair shape, another one I had hanging on my wall in my West Reading “stereo room”. I’ve always wanted to do a whole wall of album covers since I saw a bar in Reading decorated in that way.
