Their latest record at the time from 2023. Steve Kilby is the sole original member with drummer Tim Powles who has been with the band since the mid 90’s. Ian Haug from Powderfinger, another Australian band, and two others were added at this time. This is some kind of concept album about a machine in Korea, The Hypnogogue, that makes music from peoples dreams. On the inside of the gatefold cover there is a little bit of the story and each of the 13 tracks has a couple lines of written narrative and a line or two of lyrics. It’s a little hard to follow the story would have been better to include all the lyrics. The band doesn’t sound the same without Marty Wilson-Piper and Peter Koppes, more like a Steve Kilby solo album. My first time listening to it and I’m not crazy about it. I will give it another try another time. They have since put out another record dealing with this concept.
