German Progressive/Krautrock band. Formed in the late 60’s, only put out two records in the early 70’s. Reformed in the late 90’s for a couple more records and tours. Three records were recorded live in 1974 and released later. The CD came out in 1996. This limited edition (number 403 of 1000) was released in 2014, one I bought at Right Round Records. It’s a German import. Three tracks were recorded at the final reunion concert in Berlin in 1974. More of a Psychedelic spacey Jam band than the more electronic based sound of other Krautrock bands. The line-up includes two guitarists, drums, bass and keyboards. “Someone’s Secret” at 18 minutes is a great example of their sound. Starting with some percussion, drums and bass the guitar kicks in about halfway through with some vocals then jamming to the end of the song. “Mediteranean Flight” is a four minute studio cut recorded earlier in the year. It’s a mellow atmospheric instrumental. Side two has two more 10 minute instrumentals. “Mickey’s Laugh” sounds like The Grateful Dead with loud bass, keyboards, drums and guitar. My favorite track on the record. I wonder, about the title, maybe referencing Mickey Hart? “We Are Men” is another good jam. A good recording and pressing. I do have MP3 copies of their first two records and “First Communication” from the second is on my playlist.
