Another Record Store Day limited edition 2 record set from 2018. These are remixes of songs from Ride’s album Weather Diaries. Not a fan of remixes, not sure why I bought this one at Right Round records when they were located in Robesonia. Guess I didn’t look at it closely enough. This is the first time I have listened to this one. These are all Electronic, Ambient, Chillout and Trance recordings with few if any vocals. I don’t have Ride’s record to compare them to but they sound nothing like music Ride would make. “Home Is A Feeling” on side 2 is 25 minutes of quiet piano and synthesizer by someone called Babe,Terror. “Charm Assault” remixed by Mogwai is not bad and the only artist I have heard of on this record. I have a couple Mogwai records to listen to yet. Generally I don’t like this much. It has some spots on the records and has a lot of pops and crackles. Cleaning helped a little. Will trade this one in or matbe trash it. Interesting to hear the original album that was the first after a 21 year absence but I haven’t seen it. I have the two that came after that.
