I have a couple more Various Artists records so I thought I would listen to them now. I had about 20 or so tribute releases on cassette and this was one of my favorites. I bought the cassette in 1993 and this 3 sided record came out in 2020. This was made to raise money for Victoria Williams who was diagnosed with M.D. and had no health insurance. All the songs are pretty good and I do have a couple Victoria Williams CDs with some of these songs on them, but I think I like these covers better. Five are on my playlist. Lucinda Williams covering “Main Road”, Pearl Jam-“Crazy Mary”, Michael Penn-“Weeds”, Matthew Sweet-“This Moment” and Evan Dando- “Frying Pan”. “Holy Spirit” done by Michell Shocked has a nice spiritual sound to it.
