A great compilation album from Amon Dull II. From 1975 this is one I bought around that time. It’s a German import I bought at Village Records at the Tri-State Mall in Delaware. It has a silver foil cover with some kind of thin plastic covering over it ( not shrink-wrap) that is starting to peel off after all these years. Always been a favorite of mine and played a lot back then. There are six album cuts and four non-album singles. Two great heavy rockers “Archangle’s Thunderbird” and “Soap-Shop Rock are from the Yeti album. “Light” is a light acoustic song with harmony vocals by Criss Karrer, John Weinzierl and Lothar Meid. “Green Bubble Raincoated Man” is another Folky song with female singer Renate Knaup’s high pitched vocals. “Jail-House Frog” starts with a great guitar riff with some talking vocals before changing to some light piano with bubbling water and other sounds before sax takes over until the fade-out. “All The Years Round” is another one I really like with Renate singing some traditional Folk-like vocals before almost screaming later in the song. The title track is a very Progressive sounding instrumental. As usual with records from this period it sounds good with minimal pops and ticks but it does have a deep scratch on “Rattlesnakeplumcake” that sounds bad for about 30 seconds. No skips.
