This is a limited edition 2 record reissue from 2023. The first record was originally released in 2002 as a very limited CD. The second record contains unissued material. These 9 tracks are fairly long except “Voyager” only 2 minutes long, a little out of place here. Two are around 6 minutes long the rest are 9 minutes or longer. 6 tracks were recorded at Nick Saloman’s house with him playing every instrument recorded in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2012. “Calamity Jane” and “The Illegal Raffling Of The Equator” from ’98 have great Psychedelic jamming. “Here’s A Little Love Song” from 2003 is one with a nice melody and lyrics. “Skyline Commander” from 2012 is another good one with more great guitar. “Never Forgotten” is a studio cut recorded with Ade Shaw on bass and Andy Ward on drums. The highlight of the record is on side four. 24 minutes of “Superseeder” recorded live in 2019 at a club in England. This recording features Nick playing electric sitar with guitar by Paul Simmons, bass by Ade Shaw and drums by Dave Pearce. Although not really a Jam Band “Superseeder” has a very “Dark Star” sound to it and is an amazing recording. I have one more Bevis Frond record to listen to. I think I will save that one for later.
