This is her first solo album from 1994 and since I was a big fan of Throwing Muses I bought it and since it was the 90’s it was on cassette. Always liked this one and played it quite often. This is a 2024 Record Store Day reissue on bottle green translucent vinyl with 9 bonus cuts on a second record. The guitars are acoustic with Kristin’s little girl-like voice. The only other instrumentation is a cello on a few tracks. Some songs I really like and are on my playlist: “Your Ghost”, “Teeth”, “Me And My Charms”, “The Letter”, “The Cuckoo”, her take on the traditional song, and “A Loon”, really two different songs with the two different meanings of the word, one fast paced and loud about a crazy person and a slower quiet song about the bird. Her songs are personal and sometimes a bit goofy as she says in the liner notes written by Hersch for this special edition. Lyrics are on the record sleeves. The second record contains 3 B-Sides , two songs from compilation albums and the EP Strings that has 4 songs re-recorded with strings instead of guitar backing.
