For tonight’s record on Christmas I chose this one which was a present from my son on Christmas 2020. All Them Witches are from Nashville and this is the first of five records I have by them. They employ guitars, both electric and acoustic, bass, drums, piano, synthesizers and tape loops to make this Psychedelic Stoner Rock. A really cool band who like to do some jamming between the vocals. I really like “See You Next Fall”, nearly 10 minutes, on side one and “41” and “Rats In Ruin” another long one that is kind of slow, sounds almost like it should be played at 45 RPM, before a break and a long guitar jam till the end on side two. Th second album recorded as a trio since keyboard player Allan Van Cleave left in 2018. Drummer and band founder Robby Staebler left in 2024 leaving Micheal Parks Jr. and Ben McLeod to recruit a new drummer. Van Cleave returned in 2021. Haven’t seen anything new on vinyl since this record. Hope they have something out soon.
