Grinderman-Grinderman

A side project from Nick Cave and other Bad Seeds members this was released in 2007. This one is a limited edition re-issue on green vinyl bought a few years ago. Have listened to side one two or three times. These songs are raw Garage Rock type songs with lots of Psychedelic, distorted guitar played by Cave making this the most all out Rock album he has made. “No Pussy Blues”, “Electric Alice” and “Grinderman” all have great instrumental breaks and some soundscapes. Warren Ellis also adds violin and electric mandolin to the mix. “Depth Charge Ethel” is another good one. On side two listening to for the first time I really liked “(I Don’t Need You To) Set Me Free” and “Love Bomb. “Man In The Moon” is the only ballad on the record and it’s a typical sad Nick Cave song. The record sounds great and some songs will go on my playlist. They put one more record out in 2010 that I will buy if I come across it.
