The other record I bought that day and like yesterdays it is also a live album. These shows were from a three week tour in England in late ’74 to fulfill a contractual obligation to their record company. The original line-up of Darryl Way, Sonja Kristina, Francis Monkman and Florian Pilkington-Miska had broken up in ’72 with Kristina recruiting all new members for their last record Air Cut. Those four reunited for this short tour. After this Kristina and Way made a couple more records with yet more new members. But back to this record. I could have saved this for Progressive Saturday with its decidedly Progressive sound and jamming. Sonja’s singing is loud and aggressive on “Marie Antoinette” while Monkman’s guitar and keyboards are featured on “Back Street Luv”, “Propositions” and “Young Mother” Darryl Way’s violin extravaganza “Vivaldi” includes a bit of “The Sailors Hornpipe” and ends with some electronic sounds (such as there was in 1974) by Monkman. An overall good record and the record itself is also in good shape like yesterday’s Ten Years After. I have another live Curved air record I bought a couple years ago. I will save that for a future Progressive Saturday,
