The seventh album from this French-Canadian Post-Rock collective and the fourth after their ten year hiatus. This has one 12 inch and one ten inch record. The track listing is rather confusing as side A is a long track on the 12 inch and side B is a shorter track on the 10 inch with side C back on the 12 inch with another side long track with Side D back to the 10 inch. The two long tracks are divided into separate sections but it all seems like one long piece. I really liked “Government Came” on side two of the 12 inch. The last track “Our Side Has To Win” on the 10 inch is a nice soothing piece sounding like an ambient piece or one of Eno’s soundscapes. A very political band but being all instrumental you wouldn’t know except for the titles and writings inside the covers. My only problem with this record are the crackles and pops throughout both discs. Another really bad pressing and almost unlistenable in the quieter parts of which there are many. I have another one to listen to tomorrow, hopefully that will be better.
