The fourth solo album from Dinosaur Jr.’s main man J’ Mascis. This is another one that came out last year. It’s on purple translucent vinyl on the SubPop label. He plays all instruments except some steel guitar and piano. The first time listening to this record, these songs have the typical J. Mascis sound with his gravelly Neil Young-like voice and distorted fuzz guitar. They all sound pretty good with some acoustic some electric guitars. Another one I will want to play again and see if anything stands out. Right now I like the last song “End Is Getting Shakey” the best and will put it on my playlist.
