Phish-Live Phish On Long Play 01 & 06

They started releasing these in 2021. These are single record, vinyl only ,recordings of long Songs/Jams recorded over the years. There are six released so far, number six came out earlier this year. I have all six and thought I would play two of them since there are only three songs on them. The first one was recorded in 2019 in Wisconsin and has 38 minutes of “Ruby Waves”. Really great jams with it quieting down a bit at the end of side one, picking up on side two with a more reggae inspired jam. All these releases are on colored vinyl. They are calling this one magenta. The last one (06) was recorded in 2021 in Indiana and has two tracks “Simple” at 23 minutes and “Blaze On” at 27 minutes. Some cool electronics in one part of “Blaze On”. This vinyl is orange with black swirls. Like all in this series a very clear recording. More excellent jamming, Phish seem to get better all the time. They seem to lack only a good songwriter like Robert Hunter and John Barlow in The Grateful Dead. Phish seem to have a problem with packaging (look no farther then the Phish Live CDs with the melting plastic binders) as the first two releases in this series were backwards with the back of the cover having the spine on the left and the pocket for the record on the right. They fixed it for the third release. I think I will make Friday night Jam Band night as I have more Phish, Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead records to listen to.
