Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson has released solo albums and been involved in other side projects. Blackfield is one with Israeli musician Aviv Geffen, a popular political voice in his home country. They put out five albums from 2004 to 2017. This collects 15 songs on three sides of this record that came out in 2018. I bought it a couple years ago. Not Progressive but more short Pop songs with a decidedly melancholy sound. Most songs were written by Geffen, but Wilson did write four and they are the ones I liked best. Wilson sings on most tracks and some sound like Porcupine Tree’s shorter mellower songs. Some have a catchy chorus with piano played by Geffen. Not really crazy about any of them but as I said “Blackfield”, “1,000 People”, “Waving” and “From 44 To 48” by Steven Wilson were best. Probably make a digital recording of this and put it with others I will trade in.
