One more Jam Band before this is over. Widespread Panic is from the Athens Georgia area and play a more Southern Rock style of Jamming like The Allman Brothers. This two disc set contains the second and third set from The House Of Blues recorded in 2003. The first mainly acoustic set was released six months before this 2005 release. New guitarist George McConnell replaced original guitarist Michael Hauser who died from cancer in 2002. I have played both disks before and I listened to disc one tonight. Some great jams on the 17 minute “Don’t Wanna Lose You”, with an uncredited woman singing back-up vocals, and “Dirty Business” a New Riders of the Purple Sage cover that lasts for 12 and a half minutes. David Nelson of that band performs that song on a show I downloaded from Live Music Archives. I also have a CD of their first live release Light Fuse, Get Away and had the three disc Live in the Classic City but that was sold.
