Another great CD from the ECM collection. This is :rarum XVIII. Eberhard is a German bass player. As usual this comes with a 30 page booklet with tracks selected by Weber with his commentary and insight on the recording of each track, photos, liner notes and discography. These are arranged in chronological order from 1974 to 2000. Again amazing sound quality on these remastered tracks. Many of the artists playing on these cuts like Pat Metheny, Jan Garbarek, Gary Burton and Bill Frisell have their own CD in this series. These are generally mellow and acoustic compositions and might be called New Age but more adventurous then that genre. First time listening to this one all tracks sounded equally good.
